3rd Hole - Gilch's Pond Par 4, sharp dogleg right to left with the pond in play from the tee. Off the front tee it's possible to drive it over the pond but watch you don't catch the bunker 140 yds from the green. Off the back only the long hitters can clear the pond so a good drive between the pond and the trees leaves you a long iron, or even a wood, to the green. It's a difficult shot as you need to thread it through 2 greenside bunkers. There's OOB to the right of the green and a poor lie guaranteed if you go long. |
