The Junior Open, sponsored by Calor Gas, was held on Friday 24th July 2009. The best net score was posted by Dylon Burt of Bellshill who won the Under 14's section with a net 63. J Muir of Bothwell Castle won the 14 - 16 age group with a net 67 and Gary Henderson of Bellshill, who won last year's 14-16 age group, won the 16-18 age group this year.

This year's winner of the Ian Curwood Trophy was Fraser McNeill of Cathkin Braes with a scratch score of 72. Fraser obviously likes Bellshill as he was also last year's winner, Two in a row is no mean achievement. Well done, Fraser.

Our Salver Open was held on Saturday 25th July 2009. The weather was good so conditions were right for scoring. The Salver was won by J Ralston of Shotts G.C. with a scratch score of 71, beating our own Mark Lutton on the back 9 as Mark also scored a 71.

Mark won the 1st Class section also on the Better Inward Half with the added consolation of lifting the 1st Class Sweep.

The 2nd Class prize was won by Edward Mackie, also of Bellshill, with a net 67, Eddie also taking the 2nd Class Sweep.
